Charity and Community Work
We take our role in the community very seriously and the staff and partners at Barker Son & Isherwood take every opportunity they can to raise funds for charities that support people locally, but to take part in work that can make a real difference to the community we live and work in.
We support a different charity each year, and this year it is the Multiple Sclerosis Trust who are an independent Charity established to provide practical evidence based information for everyone affected by MS.
It costs £6 to research, produce and send one of their informative publications to someone affected by MS and each year they send out over 50,000, so our fundraising helps towards this vitally important lifeline.
During the twelve months of fundraising, we have a dress down day once a month on a Friday, with all staff taking part donating £1 toward our charity. In addition we also run cake sales, coffee mornings and various other events throughout the year.
Within the local community we also sponsor local teams and clubs to help them to obtain valuable funds to continue operation. This ensures the ongoing availability of these valuable resources within our local community.
We are currently supporting:
Amesbury Football Club
We will continue to carry on with our work in the community and if you have a project, charity, team or club and you need sponsorship, please contact us to discuss the options.
In addition to our firm taking an interest in local projects, many of our staff are involved with local projects and charities too. You can read about the local charities they are passionate about on their profile pages.
