Meet our Personal Injury Team

In November we welcomed Deborah Lewis to the firm as an Associate to lead the personal injury team.  Deborah specialises in accidents at work, road traffic accidents, slipping and tripping accidents and injuries involving defective equipment. She also acts frequently for injured children. 

Deborah studied law at Exeter University and after completing her professional qualifications has been a solicitor in personal injury litigation for 22 years. She is an Accredited Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Deborah has considerable experience in seeking compensation for clients with very diverse injuries including fractures, brain injuries, burns and facial injuries as well as psychiatric injuries resulting from the trauma of sometimes life-changing accidents.

At Barker Son & Isherwood LLP we are often contacted by injured people who have become disenchanted with solicitors instructed for them by their road traffic or legal expenses insurers, whose offices can be situated hundreds of miles away from where they live. We are regularly asked to take over claims by a Claimant who seeks a local solicitor that they can easily meet face to face to discuss their claim, who will deal with their claim promptly and give their case the personal touch. With Deborah joining the firm, we are able to offer this individual service and ensure that injured clients’ claims are handled with understanding and empathy, that they receive all the rehabilitation they need to expedite their recovery and are awarded all of the compensation they need to move forward with life after injury.
