How Long Will My Sale or Purchase Take?

1.1

How long it will take from your offer being accepted until you can move in to your house will depend on a number of factors. The average process takes between 8-12 weeks.

It can be quicker or slower, depending on the parties in the chain.

For example, if you are a first-time buyer, purchasing a new build property with a mortgage in principle, it could take 10 weeks. Also, if you are buying a leasehold property the process can take around 12 weeks.

  • I am very happy to recommend Christian Sereni at Barker Son & Isherwood. Christian made the process of applying for Grant of Probate - which initially seemed challenging - a very smooth one. Christian's experience shone through in our first meeting and he continued to offer clear advice at all stages. He was also very quick to reply to messages which allowed us to move at a good pace. Thanks Christian!
