Substantial Award of Compensation for Injured Client

The Personal Injury Team at Barker Son & Isherwood LLP, led by Deborah Lewis, has secured a settlement of over £430,000 for a client who was severely injured at work.

The male client fell from height whilst working in the agricultural industry, suffering numerous musculo-skeletal and ophthalmic injuries as well as a head injury.

On receipt of instructions it was immediately apparent that the client would need significant rehabilitation and treatment to maximise his prospects of recovery.  Rehabilitation was immediately requested and the Defendant’s insurers agreed to fully fund the rehabilitation program.

Liability was admitted for the accident and interim payments were made to the client to alleviate his financial concerns whilst off work.

Medical reports were obtained from experts in the fields of orthopaedics, ophthalmology, neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology and neurology.

The client has made a remarkable recovery in view of the injuries he sustained and has now been able to return to work full time in a less physical role.
